Apple may sell iPhones as a subscription service, reports suggest

A new report from Bloomberg suggests that Apple may be working on selling iPhones and iPads as a subscription service. The change is expected next year and will be a part of Apple’s ongoing move towards subscription services.

Over the past years, Apple has been inclined toward subscriptions such as Apple TV Plus, Apple Music, Apple News Plus, Apple arcade, etc. They have also come up with Apple one bundles that combine many of these subscription services.

The AppleCare Extended warranties are also offered through a monthly subscription model. Bloomberg suggests that the monthly subscription service will offer the option to upgrade to a newer model upon release. It will also be linked with the Apple ID account and users will probably have a chance to combine it with AppleCare or Apple One services.
